After I realized that, I created my first one… then another… and another… I started to get obsessed with product creation.
And that’s the topic of this newsletter is creating your own product. I’m going to show you 19 ways to create your own products quickly.
But, before I do, I wanted to talk about a few key things.
1st - don’t do all the work yourself (we covered this before when we talked about outsourcing)
2nd - the key is quality content… It doesn’t matter if you have to film in on your home camcorder or a recorded phone call… if the content is high quality - your customers will love you.
I paid $50 for a weightlifting DVD the other day, and when I turned it on… the opening scene was black.
Then you heard the guys wife say “I can’t see anything.”
A second later the guy said, “You’ve got to take the lens cap off honey!”
You then saw her take the lens cap off, and he started teaching.
Now, that was horrible quality, but the content was amazing. I ended up buying all 6 dvd in his series BECAUSE THE CONTENT WAS SO GOOD!
I know quite a few people who get caught up in making everything look too professional. I had one friend spent thousands of dollars filming and producing one DVD (which turned out very nice BTW) - but all of his budget was spent on that, and had no moolah left over to market the product.
He still hasn’t made his initial investment back.
My point isn’t to make products that are crap - but to create the highest level quality content as possible, and your subscribers will appreciate it. I’ve been going back now with all of my old products and now repackaging them now that I can afford to.
3rd - just do it. Remember from before my motto “Ready, Fire, Aim.” Get the product idea, create it and get it out there as fast as possible. Money follows speed, and if you don’t go fast you will loose out.
Another reason to go fast is because what if your product is a flop? Another important lesson is to fail fast. I’ve known one person who’s been trying to sell the same ebook for the 5 years I’ve known him with absolutely no success.
Like my friend Marlon Sanders says, “Dead ducks don’t quack!” If you have a dead duck - move on to something new - FAST!
4th - people pay different prices for the same content delivered in different ways.
What I mean is that you can sell an ebook for $27. Now, if you take that exact same content, record it into a “book on CD” - you can sell that same content (in a different format) for a lot more - usually $97 or more.
Now, let’s say you want to go to the next level… what if you took the audio, and the text, and combined them into a video. You could make a camtasia video that shows the bullet points from the book as the audio reads through them.
Or create an outline from the text, and record yourself teaching the concepts…
There are a million ways to switch forms of content - but just remember that people pay more for audio then they do text… and more for video then they do audio.
Ok - now that that is out of the way - let’s get to work.
Here are 19 ways to create a product:
1st - Software Creation - Creating software is one of the easiest ways to create a product fast. You can create something for almost any niche. I have one client who had a public domain book about dream interpretation - so he had someone create a software program for under $100 where the user could type in a word, and if found that interpretation in the book and displayed it for the end user.
2nd - Public Domain - this is one of my FAVORITES!!! These are “works” where the copyrights has expired. You are able to take these and re-package them and sell them as your own products!
3rd - Interviews - interview an expert in ANY field and sell the recordings and/or the transcripts. This is the best way to become an expert in any field - just interview the experts and people will see you as one of them.
4th - Seminar Videos - put on your own seminar, record it with a video camera and sell the footage.
5th - Re-niche content - if your selling a product (or bought rights to a product) - you can re-niche it for a different audience. Example would be if you sell a book about speed reading, re-niche it to “speed reading for students.”
6th - Book on CD - record yourself reading your book and sell it on cd.
7th - Resource CD - compile a list of resources for a specific niche, and sell the directory. I’ve personally bought resources on supplements directories and also one on “spy” stuff. (I know - I’m a geek)
8th - Recycle content - take products or content you’ve created in the past and re-use it. I’m using this blog post as a newsletter, an article, probably a chapter in a future book… Recycle what you’re doing now.
9th - Camtasia Video - this is one of the most powerful tools online marketers have. Create screen capture videos of anything you can do on your computer. Demos of software - PowerPoint slides, how to… anything computer related. Think how much moolah the “computer professor” makes by making “how to” videos for different Microsoft products.
10th - Idea collection - Combine a list of ideas and sell those. I’ve got friends who sell list of ideas on how to make money quickly, how to clean your carpets, how to take care of lawns, etc…
11th - Others experts submit content - get others to submit articles, or audios, or vidoes, and compile them into a product. I did this with one of my wrestling products. I had people submit their best stories, pictures and poems and compiled them into a product.
12th - Podcasts - like an online radio show that you can download. Have paid podcasts - or record a bunch, then take the recordings and put them onto CD’s.
13th - Membership sites - have residual income coming in when people pay you over and over again for access to your membership site. You can provide content in your membership sites - or create software programs that people have to pay monthly to use.
14th - Teleseminars - just record yourself interviewing someone or teaching on a subject that you know a lot about. The majority of my products were created with some type of teleseminar.
15th - Ghostwriters - hire someone (think outsourcing again) to write a book on a the subject that you want to sell.
16th - Free coaching calls - do free coaching calls for your members, track their progress, then compile the recordings into a product.
17th - Mastermind roundtables - get a group of experts together and have them discuss the subject - record the full thing and you’ve got an instant product!
18th - Private Label - similar to public domain, but usually created w/ the intent to sell w/out a copyright. A million ways to use private label stuff. Most people fail at this because they try to sell the content “as is.” Be sure to make it your own and you’ll have a ton of success with these.
19th - Case studies - one of the best products I bought this year is 12 hours of case studies. The people teaching the course compiled hundreds of casestudies for the subject we were learning about, and then explained how they all worked.
Ok - there’s 19 ideas. Hopefully that will give you an idea for your first product.

First, expect to stick with this plan for 14 weeks. It’s rigorous but well worth the time spent and you could very well find yourself improving on your time and stamina in No Limits, Constant Weight or Static and Dynamic Apnea events.
Bear in mind that in each phase of training you’ll work out for six days and rest on the seventh!
Part I - Strength Building
During Week 1 you’ll alternate days between 1 hour of cardio and 1 hour of weight lifting. The cardio training should consist of at least 45 minutes of your heart rate between 65%-85% of maximum. When weight training, lift between 60%-75% of your ability. The first and last thing to do each day is stretching and be sure to stretch the muscles you’ll work on that day.
For weeks 3-6, you’ll alternate between cardio and the treadmill or elliptical machine. Do 2 hours of cardio using interval training on Day 1 of that week, peaking your heart rate at 65%-92%. Follow that with 1 hour of cardio endurance with your heart rate between 75-85%.
Day 3 should consist of 2 hours of intensification training at around 80% heart rate with high intensity and followed by 1 hour of cardio endurance. Start Day 5 with 2 hours of endurance training with your heart rate between 75%-85%. Don’t forget to stretch before and after.
On Days 2, 4, and 6, start with a 30-minute warm up on the treadmill or elliptical machine then lift 70-85% of your ability on weight training.
Part II - Conditioning
On weeks 7-10, you’ll alternate each day between a 2 hour pool session and 2 hours of apnea weight training following some light stretching.
On day when you do your apnea training you’ll want to start with a minute of breath-up preparation lifting 30% of your ability. Do as many repetitions as you can handle in apnea, then perform 1 hour of endurance training at a heart rate of 75%-85%.
Pool sessions should consist of underwater laps. Vary your exercises to include restricted breathe-up preparation with increasing underwater distance, decreasing breath-up preparation utilizing the same underwater distance, and limited breathing during an extended swim involving hypoxia endurance training. Don’t forget to stretch before and after and include a warm down swim before your final stretching.
If you can fit it in and it doesn’t overtire you then include some static apnea training as well.
Part III - Diving
Over the next four weeks you’ll want to do some actual diving. Remember, though, every time you dive you should take a buddy to keep an eye on safety precautions. Each time you dive increase your depth a little more, but don’t overexert yourself. The goal is to improve your free diving skills, not to kill yourself.
Plan some rest days in your regimen. They should fall every 2-4 days. On those days you can maintain your strength and cardiovascular skills by reverting back to the workouts in Parts I and II of this plan. You want to be sure not to tire key muscles.
Also, when training for free dive competitions you want to pay special attention to your diet and sleep habits. Eat right and get plenty of sleep. Above all, be safe and stretch, stretch, stretch those key muscle groups!

This is a common scenario for most of us. New exercisers often “overdo” at first because they are unaware of the impact of sudden and intense activity on the body and its need for adjustment.
Regular and experienced exercisers often forget that fitness slowly declines when stopped for more than a couple of weeks. The body needs to readjust to the demands placed on it. For me, it’s just plain old ego…I don’t want to admit to myself that I have lost any of my fitness!
“Overdoing” is just one of the many ways that we can hurt ourselves when we are using our bodies vigorously. Aside from the obvious twisted ankle (acute injury), there are many injuries that happen insidiously (tendonitis, arthritis etc.). Now before I scare you away from exercise, its worth mentioning that most of these injuries happen just as often in sedentary people because of lack of exercise.
So, the real point of this article is to give you some guidelines to help you avoid exercise/sports injuries whether you are a newbie or an experienced exerciser/sports participant:
• Wear proper shoes for the particular sport or activity.
• Always were protective gear for the sports you are involved in. Helmets are not just for kids!
• Comfortable clothes that you can move in are always good, but special outfits for the sport are not usually required unless you like them or for a team.
• Start out slowly if you are new to the sport or exercise OR you haven’t done it in more than 2 weeks.
• Warm up BEFORE stretching. This is important. Muscles are tight when cold and stretching them can injure them. What is a good warm up? A slower version of the activity you are going to do is good. For example, walk for 5 minutes before you begin running. If you are going to throw a ball, gentle arm circles and other movements for several minutes will warm up the shoulder and elbow joints.
• Stretch often. Stretching can be performed after warm-up, but I find it to be the most efficient when I am finished with the activity or when there’s a break in the activity. The muscles are warm and most receptive. Always be careful not to overstretch.
• Take lessons or training if you are new to the activity. This ensures that you are moving in such a way to not only perform well (win!) but also not injure yourself. I have personal experience with this: I decided to run a marathon. I trained myself but just couldn’t accomplish the distances I needed to get there. Then, I had coaching for my running style which I was told was a speed style, not distance style. I thought running was something we all do naturally and all that’s needed to run was to run! Since that coaching, I have completed many marathons.
• Add new activities or exercises carefully. The body needs time to adapt.
• Drink LOTS of fluid (water is usually best) before during and after your activity, especially in hot weather. A good guide for this is 500ml of liquid every 15 minutes during the activity. It’s not nearly as good for the body to drink only before and after, drink during as well. You will find your performance to be much better!
• Apply the 10% rule. This is a great rule of thumb. Increase your time OR intensity level by a maximum of 10% per week. If you are running, increase either distance by 10% per week or speed by 10% per week - but not both in the same week. If you are weight lifting, increase the number of times you lift the weight (repetitions) by 10% maximum or the amount of weight by 10% maximum per week.
• If you are already working with injuries, talk to your physical therapist or personal trainer about what to do that works and doesn’t work with your body and situation.
Listen to your body! If you are tired, rest! If you have pain beyond muscle soreness or swelling, see a doctor.

Massage therapy has been proven to reduce the amounts of the stress hormone cortisol in the body. Cortisol is the hormone that causes the symptoms of stress including muscle pain, irritability, headaches and other physical symptoms. Digestion, which is often directly affected by stress, can be improved by application of regular massages.
Additionally, some scientists suspect that massage may release endorphins which produce a “high” or a sense of well-being similar to that which is achieved by exercise. Because of this effect, massage therapy has been particularly useful in helping arthritis patients who may not be able to exercise regularly. Massage can also help arthritis patients improve the range of motion in their joints.
Massage may also help improve circulation. It is theorized that the stroking motion of massage encourages healthy blood flow and assists in clearing toxins from the blood. The stroking motion may also assist the flow of lymph fluid. Lymph fluid bolsters the body’s immune system, leading to increased resistance to disease.
Shiatsu massage, which uses some of the same principles as acupuncture, tai chi and other types of Chinese medicine can be used to treat more specific illnesses. Unlike a regular massage session at a spa, a shiatsu practitioner will take your medical history and ask you questions about specific symptoms, diet and exercise. Some of the conditions treated by shiatsu massage include asthma, menstrual cramps, arthritis, insomnia and constipation.
Ayurvedic massage is a 5,000 tradition of holistic healing including massage. Ayurvedic massage places emphasis on using scented oils and healing herbs to heal and relax the body. People can learn how to give themselves an Ayurvedic massage which, if performed in the morning, can increase vitality, circulation and stamina throughout the day.
Certain people should avoid all types of massage. These include people with open wounds or rashes, people with circulatory disorders, people who have had recent surgery and people with a history of blood clots. People with cancer should avoid massage following radiation or chemotherapy treatment and should avoid direct massage of any area with a tumor. Pregnant women are advised to avoid abdominal massage during the first three months of pregnancy.

If you want to establish yourself online, blogging is the way to do it. And, it’s absolutely free. You can make $20, $50 or $100 every single day using a simple, free blog that takes less than half an hour to set up. But how do you make your money? It’s a simple formula:
1.) Create your free blog and start posting about a topic you love. Baseball? Weight lifting? Hypnosis? Gardening? Virtually anything will do.
2.) Go to Clickbank.com and click “marketplace”. Find a product related to your topic (they have a very large variety of products for any audience) and create a free affiliate account with them.
3.) Add your affilate links to your blog and promote the product you chose. Talk about it’s qualities, review it, how much it’s helped you, and so on. People eat up stories.
4.) Get traffic to your blog by posting articles to article directories with a link back to your blog.
That’s it - that’s all you do to make money online. I can personally guarantee you that if you post to your blog everyday for the next 60 days and write one article to submit to a few article directories per week, you’ll be making a bare minimum $20 per day with hardly effort. $20 per day for 10 to 15 minutes of work is a great trade-off, wouldn’t you say?
The best part about this process is that you can repeat it, over and over. Imagine if you had 10 blogs and made the bare minimum of $20 per day with each blog. That means you’d be getting more than $200 per day, for about 2 1/2 hours of work. Compare that to a job - 8+ hours a day, for a measly couple thousand bucks every couple of weeks. It’s bull.
It’s time for you to make a decision. Are you going to sit around and continue to ponder how to make money online, or are you finally going to bite the bullet and going to get started? The choice is yours…
