From old to young, male to female, rich to poor, no matter where you come from, everyone of us will have some elements of stress in life or business. Stress is a silent killer that causes us to go out of balance.

Therefore, it’s utmost important for us to learn to de-stress. Once in a while, throughout the day, do something that you can release stress. Here are some of the exercises that I find useful in stress management.

1) Read a good book. Grab a book you like and a glass of your favorite drink, sink yourself into a sofa. When you absorb in the book, you lose touch with outside world and immerse in the writing. Reading is a way to sharpen your mind too and keep it alert. Reading a good book not only helpful in releasing stress but also to increase knowledge.

2) Listen to music. I used to hate music but only in recent years that I like to listen to music. When I talk about music, I mean just pure music. Experts suggest that the best music for you to de-stress is classical music. For example music Sex Mozart or Beethoven. You can listen to the music while driving, before and during sleep. Or during work if the environment allows. Now it’s even more convenient with portable mp3 players.

3) Exercise. Everybody knows after workout, you feel energized and fresh. But I have a confession to make, I have not been working out for some time. But I still think that exercise is one of the best stress busters. Engage yourself in a sport that you love and make it a point that you stick to your exercise schedule. The best, I believe, is still cardio-vascular exercises.

4) Meditation. Worry not and it’s nothing to do with religions. The only thing you need is a quiet place, close your eyes and listen to yourself. It has been proven that meditation not only helps in releasing stress but it also enhances self-awareness, creativity, intuition, inner peace, and longevity! Frankly, meditation is not easy to do even though it looks simple. I have tried many ways to practise meditation, but most of the methods are hard to follow as not many of us can still a mind that is as wild as a wild horse. 5) Play with my daughter. This is the best part. Not only can I play with her as an excuse to get away from work, it also helps me to foster a closer relationship with her. And you will be also surprise to find out that how observant children are. They can show you small little things that adults overlook. And the best reward from playing with children is their laughter…as we all know laughter is the best medicine.

6) Sleep. I am not talking about a few hours of sleep, I am talking about having a nap. Preferably a 30-minute nap is just fine. When you feel tired, take a nap and you’ll see the difference in you after you wake up. Too Singles Schleswig-Holstein of sleep will have counter effect. Don’t overdo it.

7) Rest in regular intervals. Stop doing whatever you are doing after one or two hours. Walk around or sit in a comfortable chair and close your eyes. This won’t take much of your time but it helps you to have a stress free body and mind.

From there, you do the same thing (focus on making the best of where you are now) and it has to get even better. It is about moving up the ladder until that energy becomes your automatic state.

Then your “reality” changes.

We are in a coaching process for a reason. It takes time to make changes to enable you to begin to look at any situation FIRST at the energy level. For example, “Ok, where am I? How do I want to feel? How can I take some little steps to feel more of that way?” THEN you start looking at actions that you can take that will be in alignment with the way you want to feel. These ACTIONS will produce the greatest results. Then you can start creating the fun approaches to your business! This is what I call Get-It-Done-Gal Energy… the Energy Juice. Imagine what it’s like to not be pulled off center when a conflict shows up. You’ll feel better AND get more done in your business. So great, right?

Teams have been playing junk defenses for decades. Heck, Rick Majerus made a living off of the “Triangle and 2.” However, In part I of this report we are going to focus in on the Box and 1. First and foremost, you must identify whether you are going to get your star the ball, or use him/her as a decoy. We suggest that you use a combination of the two.

What is your philosophy?
Are you going to get your star the ball? Use him / her as a decoy? Both? You must also take into consideration which position they play. Do you have another shooter?

The concepts are going to be the same as a good zone offense. You still want to be able to work inside out, hit the gaps, etc.

Some things that help:

” Press the other team to create points in transition —-
It’s like the old saying, “Press not to be pressed.” Well in this case, press so that you sex end up in a situation where you have to run a set play. You can create an opportunity for easy baskets. Also, have a chance for your star to get lost in transition and receive the ball in the open floor.

” Get to the free throw line —-
Since they are playing you with junk defense, you probably don’t have other starters that shoot well. Still, most players can shoot freethrows (do NOT see the Shaquille FT Shooting Guide). Instill a mentality to get to the free throw line while implementing your game plan. In other words, attack the zone, don’t be passive.

” Add an extra shooter to your lineup —-
You may want to insert an extra shooter to knock down some shots. This may be a chance to get a younger player in the game, as long as they hold up their end of the bargain on the defensive end. Just by aligning your offensive with an overload, this will free up your shooters. Knock a few shots down, and they will back to their base defense in no time.

” Attack the middle of the Box & 1 —-
If they are in a box, it only makes sense to get the ball to the middle of the zone. Then, everyone must collapse and help, and you can kick it to your shooters or draw contact and get to the line. The concept of working “inside - out” will work here. You can also run your star to that point, in order to tighten the defense when they help. There are some very effective sets in today’s game against the Box & 1.

” HIT THE GAPS —-
This concept is simple, but not always executed. Just like any good zone offense, you must hit the gaps here also. A good point guard will really chew up junk defenses and make his/her teammates better.

” Screen the zone —-
One of the best weapons against any zone concept is to screen it. Walling off the bottom of the zone (for a corner shot) , or screening the top and turning the corner are two strategies that work. Against a shot blocking center, you can also run sets that draw the forwards out and screen the center. The screen and slip concept also works well against man to man or over aggressive zones.

” Work the baseline —-
If you have a good point guard, you can go with a four low concept. Have your point guard use the extra space to cause problems. By working the baseline, you are out numbering the bottom of the defense. At this point, you can “keep it simple” and run concepts rather than set plays.

All in all, junk defenses can cause problems for teams/coaches that are not ready for them. If you do not work against it in practice, than you are just relying on your athletes. Who’s the best coach in your league? Why is it not you? More importantly, what are you doing about it! Don’t let a junk defense stand in the way of a “W!”

After you have finished creating your magnets and have baked them at the temperature recommended by the manufacturer of the brand of clay you choose, then you are ready to glue the magnet to the back. Ceramic magnets are very sturdy and work great for this project. You can use E-6000 to adhere the magnet to the back of the clay. Let them dry for at least 24 hours before using them.

Magnets can also be a great way to help children learn how to spell and count. Cookie cutters are available in letters and numbers and you can put them on the fridge and let the kids use their imagination and skills. Play around with ideas colors and textures and the sky is the limit.
