From the above definition, you will agree with me that as an affiliate marketer, you are holding the longer “stick” - by that I mean that you have the better deal!

Analyze this: You don’t need to bother yourself about shipping, handling, customer service, hosting, order taking, etc., etc. And in case you didn’t notice, this leaves you ample time to FOCUS on your ONLY assignment as an affiliate marketer…MARKETING! Driving targeted traffic to the sales page of the product you are promoting is your PRIMARY ASSIGNMENT!

Since we have now decoded what our job is, we must now count the cost of setting up shop…

You may or may not know this, but when it comes to affiliate marketing, setting up is cheap. This is one business that won’t break your bank account to start. You can start for FREE in fact…even though it will cost you a lot in terms of manual labour.

My advice? Get a good guide (preferably an eBook) that will show you EXACTLY what to do, when to do it and HOW to do it.

When I started affiliate marketing, I didn’t know how to verify the authenticity of affiliate programs. Will they pay? Are they genuine? Will they last? Will I get residual income? Will they train me? Will they respond to my enquiries even if it sounds stupid? Etc., etc.

But now, all I do is go to google and enter in a search: “Name of affiliate program” Review. A host of reviews come out and I try and decide based on how I feel about what is being said. I write this because not all reviews are “unbiased”! Some folks are just plain lazy. They buy an eBook, or register as affiliates for a program, and are unwilling to put in the effort needed to succeed at that program. Get this: AFFILIATE MARKETING IS NOT FOR LAZY LAY ABOUTS! This is serious business and should be treated thus! But I guess it’s to be expected because it’s cheap to start. maybe if you paid $25,000 to enrol and set up an affiliate program, you’d take it a little more seriously…hmm?

A good guide that will get you up and running can be found in the link at the end of this article…no fluff here, just facts. By taking advantage of this offer, you will me investing in yourself - I assure you that most of your competitors do not bother to invest in themselves, that gives you an automatic advantage.

Let me pause here to tell you this: “You cannot afford to develop a phobia or fear of spending your money online…that is the only way you can become a “guru” yourself. Else you will be reduced to following “gurus” all the days of you affiliate marketing life!

What else would you be needing? Well, a website would be a great plus but may not be entirely necessary if you are just starting out! Why? BLOGS! You can do almost anything with a blog that you can with a website. Blogs are free. See blogger dot com for more information.

** Guess what? The earlier you begin to invest in your affiliate business, the earlier your dreams of getting those affiliate marketing commissions will materialize!

The establishment of a dialogue has helped to foster discussion. They have established enough trust to discuss painful issues such as divisions within the church. The recent introduction of electricity and rubber tires in some communities has prompted church leaders and many other residents to leave for more conservative colonies in southern Mexico and Bolivia.

Let’s go back to the term “home based” for a moment. There are some positives and some negatives here.

First of all, most people trying to start a home based business already have a job and other responsibilities that they must tend to daily. This means that the time available to grow their business is going to be limited. Therefore, even with the best product, best promotions, and most skillful management, growth is going to be slow. This is discouraging to many people, and, in fact, is a major reason many people drop out of home business ownership.

If time is at a premium, so is money in most cases. With a home based network marketing business, however, you will be able to start part time, work around your schedule, and hang on to your job for the income and benefits (and don’t forget the networking opportunities) while you grow your new business.

You can usually start a home based business for a lot less money than a traditional brick and mortar business or a franchise. This makes it easier for the “ordinary person” to get one started. The network marketing model allows for low cost “advertising” if done properly. Just to give you one example, I am a member of a website called meetups.com. One or two times a week I get together with other members interested in the same things I am and invariably wind up presenting my product or business opportunity to others attending. Quite often, I find that someone I have spoken to has referred me to someone else.

The downside of not putting a whole lot of money into your home based business is that it is easier to call it quits. One of the major factors for success in a home based network marketing business is the willingness to stick with it. Too many people are actually on their way to success when they pull out simply because it is easier to do that than to stay with it. If they DID have large sums tied up in a store or franchise at least that might be an incentive to stay the course.

In a home based network marketing business, there is a learning curve, just as in every new job you started. Remember those first few days when you didn’t even know where to stand to get out of everybody’s way? Did you ever tell a customer something and later find out that you had said exactly the wrong thing? Have you ever stood there with a totally blank mind when a client wanted answers? Have you ever gone home at night and spent the evening thinking about all the screw-ups you made during the day. Did the boss ever chew you out for doing something wrong? Have you ever gotten ready to go in to work, filled with dread that you were going to catch it for yesterday’s goof…or even worse, get the axe?

As the boss and the employee of your own home based business, you will make plenty of mistakes. Trust me on that one! However, as the boss, you can be forgiving, and as the employee you can learn without fear. If you mess up today’s presentation, you can make a better one tomorrow. If you forget the facts and figures today, you can study them tonight. Tomorrow is a new day, and the boss is only going to be as hard on you as you are on yourself!

If you are network marketing properly, then you will often be talking to someone you know and like, and who knows and likes you. In someone else’s business, a slip-up with a client or potential client can be professionally fatal. In a network marketing environment it is something that can possibly be laughed at WITH the person you are talking to! Just recently during a presentation to a group of acquaintances, I got my tongue tangled up beautifully. I made a joke, we all had a laugh, and I finished my presentation and then fielded several questions from interested parties who weren’t the least bit put off by my momentary faux pas.

If selling terrifies you, then a home based network marketing business is perfect! The true secret in network marketing is the networking. If you have a good product or service, there will be people interested in it, and, if they feel comfortable about you, they will be asking YOU to PLEASE tell them about it. If people see YOU making money with your business, some of them will be interested in getting involved.

If you want to start a home based network marketing business just to make money, go right ahead. With the right motivation and work ethic you can do well. You will be missing out on the fun of meeting new people, going places, doing things you’ve never done before if your only motivation is money and your method is direct selling.

However, if you learn to network with a wide range of people, making new friends, helping people solve problems, giving back to your community, and living life to the fullest, you can experience the real thrill of network marketing at its best.

Both will lead you to some good source materials that will help in the design stage.

3. Next you want to take you source materials (photos or clip art) and show them to a tattoo artists. You might also try some initial sketches if you are artistically inclined. Even something with simple line art or pigeon scratches can tell you tattoo artists a lot about what you are looking for. So take everything you got and show it to your tattoo artist and then let them design the tattoo for you. Remember the more accurate and detailed you can be with your description the more happy you are going to be with the results and the whole process will be much easier.

4. Most tattoo artists will then provide you with an actual design shaded in and with color and the line art of the design. If you are getting this done online then you can take that to your local tattoo parlor and find some one to do the actual tattoo for you. Often you can also ask for referrals from the original tattoo artists. Typically they can do the work themselves if you live within driving range.

If you take these steps into consideration and actually do a little bit of homework and find your source materials and provide lots of details about what you are looking for then you are sure to get the design of your dreams.
