Checklist for Organising Events in Spain

May 12th, 2008 by enyamp3kax

The following event planning checklist checklist gives you an idea of the type of things that have to be considered when planning an event here in Spain:

Choose a location in Spain

Our most popular destinations are Barcelona, Madrid, Marbella, Seville, Valencia and Malaga. Location is a key factor in the success of your company or group event.

Set a realistic budget

Consider all the expenses that are likely to come up and get quotes from different suppliers, caterers, entertainers or whatever other contractors you will need. Be realistic about how much you can afford to spend and what the actual costs are likely to be and allow a little extra for those unforeseen circumstances.

Decide upon a type of team building activity?

A group event can be an effective means of team building amongst your company or organization. A presentation, gala event, corporate function or other team building exercise can bring out many members of the team to participate, ideal for companies that have a large number of regional offices.

Find a venue that is appropriate and affordable.

Do you Yellowcardlightsandsoundsddqu a quiet, exclusive venue or a busy, dynamic city centre hotel? Do you want to stay at a hotel near the beach so that water-sports can be within reach, prefer to be in the middle of the countryside pursuing outdoor activities or want the most up to date business technologies for an audio-visual feast?

Do not choose a banquet hall far away from the group event just because it is half the cost of one more centrally located. You may find that the management of your ideal location is willing to offer a lower rate than you expected. Also the costs of transportation to another location for your team building exercises, gala dinners or any activities that you might pursue may negate any savings made on the venue.

Before you begin to promote a group event in Spain, make sure that you have signed contracts from the venue management and all contractors who will be working on the event. If you make a promise that you can not keep, it may tarnish your organization’s image for years to come, even if it is not your fault, let alone the wasted costs involved.

Check Passport Information

Travelling to Spain is very easy. If you are a citizen of the European Union, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein you only need your Identification Card, or a valid passport. If you are from any of the following countries: Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador, United States, Guatemala, Honduras, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, Nicaragua, New Zealand, Panama, Paraguay, Korea, Romania, San Marino, the Holy See, Singapore, Uruguay, and Venezuela you would need a valid passport to enter Spain, where you can stay for a maximum of 90 days. If you are from any other country, according to the criteria of the EU, you must request a visa at the Spanish Consulate of your country of residence. You will also need a valid passport.

Wedding Planning at a Budget

May 10th, 2008 by enyamp3kax

Every bride and groom who have limited financial resources would need to cut corners while planning their wedding.

In fact, there are hundred and one things that you can either outsource to others or do it yourself.

Now then we know wedding planning can be outsource? Hmmmm…

Even though we wanted to fully plan our wedding by ourselves, the thing is as much as we want to, we have limited time and energy.

But again, I have seen many brides who did items by themselves.

Plus another big contributing factor to the big hole in your purse or pocket is the ability to be frugal, decisive and able to bargain.

Usually after the wedding, the couples would have used up all their savings or even in debt!!!

Many brides in fact take the 1st offer for wedding packages and bridal studio offers.

If they have read this book, they may do otherwise.

They did not know that if they bargain just enough, they can save another few hundred dollars to even a thousand dollar.

During my wedding planning, I did a lot of bargaining and I pushed my way through. I got another 5R wedding album for free. This album would have cost me another 200 dollars.

In addition, did I tell you I got 2 helpers room instead of one (worth $500) and free corkages for 40 bottles of wine (previously 15) and I saved another $300!!!

Wow, a saving of $1000!!!

While I was planning my wedding, I bought this wedding ebook on wedding planning.

At that time I was lost. Frantic for a solution, I bought this ebook and I’m glad I did.

Now I still do.

This book helps me save $500.

Initially, I went to bookstores to look for books on wedding planning at a budget. But it seemed to me that those books offer high-end services and products.

Perhaps, the importer thinks that all Singaporean are really rich.

So, spend your money wisely as wedding is just the first step to a life-time of marriage.

Imagination: The Most Powerful Force To Regain Your Health

May 10th, 2008 by enyamp3kax

Albert Einstein is quoted as saying that imagination is the greatest creative force. The important words here are: ‘greatest creative force’. He claims that it’s imagination! Not education? Nor money? Nor luck?

Another author, Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich, believed that imagination is the most marvelous, miraculous, powerful force we have at our disposal. He doesn’t state that it’s our mind, or our ability to think, but the ability to use our imagination. You would do well to remember that Napoleon Hill was an advisor to two U.S. presidents, was commissioned by the great and wealthy Andrew Carnegie to teach people about making their dreams come true, and has been thanked by many of the greatest people around the world for the success he helped them achieve. People like F. W. Woolworth (founder of Woolworth’s), Woodrow Wilson (former U.S. President), George Eastman (founder of Kodak), W. M. Wrigley, JR. (Wrigley’s), and many others have used his teachings to manifest their dreams.

Imagination is the force that takes you to places you have never been.

So how can your imagination assist you in regaining your health?

Very many famous people have used their imagination to create an amazing reality. Bill Gates first imagines his products before they become actual software that we rely on. Many of the world’s greatest people started with nothing and built empires. They had a dream. And the universe conspired, as it always does, to let them experience their imagination. The universe always lets you experience your imagination, whatever it may be.

The Bible says ‘As a man thinketh, so shall he become’. It also says ‘Without vision we perish’.

Your mind’s images are literally the blueprint from which your world is built.

Your mind is infinite. What are your limits? What are limits, except those that you say are so? Why else would two different people have different ‘limits’?

Life is images of the mind, expressed. Life uses your thoughts as the instructions by which to create your reality in the material world. The force of Life makes known your thoughts to yourself and everyone else by forming them into experiences and objects that can be experienced, here in the physical world. You experience your own thoughts so that you may know which ones are suitable and which ones are not. That is how you know yourself, that is how you experience your self, and that is how you grow.

You have true free will. This free will is truly free because of the fact that all of it is acted upon without filtering or favoring. Free will is truly free because of the fact that it actually gets results all the time, not just some of the time, and it gets them exactly.

Your ideas, visions and dreams reveal today what you’ll become and achieve. You can predict your outer life tomorrow by looking at your inner thoughts today. You can change your tomorrow by changing your thoughts today.

As you think, there you find yourself. You attract the people that have something to teach you in line with your thoughts, people who have something to learn from you in line with your thoughts, and you repel those who have nothing more to learn from you and give you in line with your thoughts. The same goes for places and conditions, situations and environments. Listen to the FREE audio CD on www.thescienceofbeingwell.biz for an understanding on how to adapt the 5 Secrets of Creating Health to your own life.

Many things influence your imagination - past fears, desires, poor mental training, lack of awareness, sub-personalities, lack of goals - any much more. But anything that influences your imagination is under your control. You can stop it simply by becoming aware of it and releasing it. And this is where awareness, consciousness, comes in as the key to clearing your mind of the debris that brings suffering to you and sabotages your success.

What goes on in your mind actually has an impact in your body. The way science has discovered it works is that the thoughts you have in your head release chemicals call neuropeptides that lock with receptors on your cells. The more ‘happy’ and ‘health-oriented’ thoughts you have, the more your cells receive ‘happy’ neuropeptides. Then when your cells divide, they have more receptors for happy chemicals, which then strengthens them. In The Science of Being Well Home Study Course, there are many examples and explanations on how your thoughts create your health. Sometimes, health can be greatly assisted with the quality of your thoughts. Visit the site today and claim your FREE audio CD that gives you 5 Secrets To Creating Abundant Health.

Beware Search Engine Optimization

May 9th, 2008 by enyamp3kax

Search Engine Optimisation

Search Engine Optomisation is the Web Development equivalent to “Franchised Personal Injury Lawyers” or even worse “Debt Management Consultants” many (not all) are more than happy to sell you a service you probably don’t need or could do for yourself considerably cheaper.

How do they succeed ?

They succeed because their basic business model assumes that most potential clients are too ill informed to achieve what they want for themselves. They rely on the fact that most people don’t know much about the mechanics of searching the web . They also rely on the fact that most people will take as “gospel” whatever they are told by their chosen web developer.

There are NO! excuses for being ill informed or believing someone who has a vested interest in telling you that you need to spend more money than you were intending to.

Ask yourself two simple question:

Would you pay FULL price for a car with four flat tyres and no MOT ?

Would you then agree to pay extra for

“ROAD OPTOMISATION” ?

NO of course you wouldn’t, not without good reason anyway.

So what do you do ?

The Microsoft Small Business Center [http://www.submit-it.com/subopt.htm] gives free and open advice on Search Engine Optomisation techniques along with a list of do’s and don’ts.

Careful reading of this mini site will reveal that all of the Seven “Tips” that are listed are coding issues that any experienced and or competent Web Designer/Builder should be avoiding as a matter of coarse. Anything less would constitute a poorly built site and therefore a waste of your money.

Google also offer free advice on dealing with SEOs in their Webmaster Help Center [http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=35291&ctx=sibling]. Googles advice is centred around how to choose an SEO and what not to do when optimising your site. Most noteably they say…….

“Beware of SEOs that claim to guarantee rankings, allege a “special relationship” with Google, or advertise a “priority submit” to Google. There is no priority submit for Google. In fact, the only way to submit a site to Google directly is through our Add URL page or through the Google Sitemaps program, and you can do this yourself at no cost whatsoever.”

-Google Webmaster Help Center.

Google also point out that it is entirely possible for some of tactics used by the less reputable SEOs to result in your site being removed and or barred from there index.

At Sideimpact Web Design we pride ourselves on the fact the that we follow all the Microsoft and Google guidelines for submission as standard. In our opinion any developer that doesn’t is at best lazy at worst they are trying to garner further work at extra cost to you.

Coach (Season 1) DVD Review

May 9th, 2008 by enyamp3kax

Nominated for 16 Emmys and 4 Golden Globes, Coach delighted fans of all ages during its celebrated nine-season run. One of the most underrated sitcoms of its era, the series covers the exploits of fictional Minnesota State Screaming Eagles college football coach Hayden Fox (Craig T. Nelson), the quintessential male chauvinist pig. But unlike many of his politically-incorrect brethren, Hayden has a heart of gold. It’s this softer side that appeals to successful anchorwoman and girlfriend Christine Armstrong (Shelley Fabares). In the locker room, Hayden is joined by assistant coaches Luther Van Dam (Jerry Van Dyke) and Dauber Dybinski (Bill Fagerbakke), the perfect compliments to the coach’s oftentimes sketchy logic. Between his estranged daughter Kelly (Clare Carey), her less-than-manly boyfriend Stuart (Kris Kamm), nagging athletic director Howard Burleigh (Kenneth Kimmins), and ladies basketball coach Judy Watkins (Pam Stone), Hayden is always dispensing sarcasm, trading barbs, or being aggravated by someone.

Craig T. Nelson is brilliant in his portrayal of the opinionated and overbearing, yet multidimensional Hayden Fox. His onscreen rapport with co-star Shelley Fabares creates the believable illusion of a true romance. But Coach boasts a cast replete with star power. The series is given a charming comic angle by the underappreciated and long overdue breakout role of Jerry Van Dyke, brother to Dick Van Dyke, who plays the role of Luther Van Dam, the stuttering and kind-hearted bungling best friend of Hayden. Jerry had a few guest appearances in the decades before Coach that were absolute show stoppers (both The Dick Van Dyke Show and The Andy Griffith Show come to mind), but Coach put his talents to use full-time so all the world could see just how funny this man really is. Overall, Coach is a fun and oftentimes brilliant comedy, and the first few seasons are by far the best. So grab yourself a chair and some official Minnesota State Screaming Eagle merchandise and enjoy watching one of the best comedies of its time…!

The Coach (Season 1) DVD features a number of hilarious episodes including the season premiere “Kelly and the Professor” in which Hayden learns that his daughter Kelly, a student at Minnesota State, recently went out on a date with a professor. The revelation drives Hayden crazy, and he’ll go to any lengths to uncover the identity of the guilty faculty member… Other notable episodes from season one include “I’m in Love with a Boy Named Stuart” in which Hayden is introduced to Kelly’s new boyfriend, Stuart, his future arch-nemesis, and “I’m Sorry I Told You My Wife Was Dead” in which Hayden compromises his integrity in an effort to coerce a widow into handing over the massive donation her dead husband had promised the Minnesota State football program.

Below is a list of episodes included on the Coach (Season 1) DVD:

Episode 1 (Kelly and the Professor) Air Date: 02-28-1989
