Where To Go For Sound Marriage Advice

May 12th, 2008 by disneysoundtrackswosv

I feel upset every time I hear someone giving counter productive and ridiculous advice about marriage. I don’t claim to be an expert on marriage, but I can still tell if the advice I’m hearing is good information or pure nonsense. Marriage advice is available to those who need it, but sadly, a lot of it is no good. Even the most qualified professional can give tainted marriage advice because they may have their own agenda.

A friend of mine is pretty much at the end of her marriage. She’s very devoted to her religious roots, and has made every effort to save her marriage. The problem is that all the marriage advice and counseling that she has received from different people for over four years has not helped her marriage. I find myself getting upset whenever she shares the marriage advice she has received Mountainliontracksel me.

If you belong to a church, you should probably go to your pastor or priest for marriage advice. However, you still have to consider the source, even if these people can be great sources for advice and counseling. You see, unless someone is in danger, they will never tell you that perhaps the entire affair was a mistake to begin with.

It is quite obvious to me that my friend is in a hopeless situation, but her pastor will not tell her this. The marriage advice he gives will urge her to remain with her husband, unless her life is threatened.

What I’m trying to say is that you should take marriage advice and counseling from more than one source. Move on if you don’t like what you are hearing. If you find someone who tells you that a wife should bow down and be miserable for the sake of her husband, then that person is not seeing both sides.

And if a woman counselor seems to be bitter towards men in general, you are going to see this in the advice on marriage she gives. Try to think clearly about what someone is saying to you no matter how miserable you may be.

Morgan Hamilton offers expert advice and great tips regarding all aspects concerning Sound Marriage Advice. Get more information by visiting http://www.weddingsparks.com/weddings/weddings/where-to-go-for-sound-marriage-advice.html.

The Andy Griffith Show (Season 2) DVD Review

May 10th, 2008 by disneysoundtrackswosv

One of the most beloved shows in television history, The Andy Griffith Show takes its viewers back to a simpler time of small town America, apple pie, and black and white television… The trademark whistling theme song is one of the most recognizable in history, and the duration of the show in syndicated reruns is unrivaled by its peers.

The Andy Griffith Show follows the exploits of the small town of Mayberry and its family-values, no nonsense sheriff Andy. Widowed, and father to a small boy named Opie (Ron Howard), Andy is joined in Mayberry by his sidekick Deputy Barney Fife, his relative and housekeeper Aunt Bee (Frances Bavier), and a host of other eccentric characters.

But the show stealer is Barney Fife (Don Knotts) who plays the role of a sometimes incompetent, kooky deputy always in over his head. The onscreen dynamic between Griffith and Knotts is truly magical. Both men would go on to heralded careers in show business with Knotts starring in numerous roles, such as Mr. Furley on Three’s Company, and Griffith as the title star of Matlock. And Ron Howard (Opie) would go on to establish himself as one of Hollywood’s most well-known directors…

The Andy Griffith Show (Season 2) DVD features a number of hilarious episodes including the season premiere “Opie and the Bully” in which a fellow schoolboy torments Opie, forcing Andy to give some fatherly advice… Other notable episodes include “Barney’s Replacement” in which Barney comes to believe that Andy is grooming his replacement, and “Sheriff Barney” in which Barney is offered the job of sheriff by a rival township (a job he declines following Andy’s offer to let Barney be Mayberry’s sheriff for a day)… The season concludes with “Deputy Otis,” an episode in which the town drunk Otis (because he’s written letters to his family on County stationary) has led his family to believe that he’s a deputy in Mayberry…

6 Ways To Uplift Your Spirits

May 10th, 2008 by disneysoundtrackswosv

Our journey to the lost destination is never a smooth ride to say the least. It could be a bad day at work, an argument with a friend, relationship problems … the list goes on.

Life smacks us hard when we least expect it. How well equipped are we to handle such incidents?

While we have friends and family to get us through these periods, it requires a fair amount of effort on our part as well. So what can you do ?

#1. Pamper yourself

Have you ever noticed that pampering yourself goes a long way towards making you feel good? For some people, its shopping, working on the car, playing the guitar, taking a long bubble bath, exercising, eating ice cream …..

What makes you feel comforted?

#2.Remember good times

When we go through a rough patch, it is the bad memories that keep hunting us. Take a stroll down memory lane (use a photo album if you have to!) and remember the good old days when life was less weary.

#3. There’s no point in asking your self ‘Why’

Have you been running round in circles in your mind, wondering why. Why Me, why , oh why. True, it’s hard not to.

I think only God has the answers to all “why” questions. In the meantime, you can ask a different question. “What did I learn?”

#4. Help someone

“Happiness is a by product of an effort to make someone else happy.”

Helping someone will make you feel needed. I’m sure whoever it is, will be appreciative of your effort. It will also help, to keep you occupied.

#5. Remember the less fortunate

A few months ago, I used to visit a neurology ward twice a day, everyday for nearly three weeks. Walking through the beds on either side made me feel very lucky. Mainly because, I was the visitor not the patient! Most of the patients warded, couldn’t walk and/or talk. Additionally, some even had eyesight problems.

Anyway, that was a couple of months back when my father underwent brain surgery. I still think about some patients, which I came to know during that period. I wonder what their fate is, at the moment.

Whenever I feel down, I do my best to recall my time at the ward. It reminds me that there are others, who are in a lot worse position, than I am.

#6 Tough times don’t last tough people do

“Time heals all wounds” is the popular advice. Have you ever felt like slapping anyone

who gave this advice? I’m sure they all mean well. Somehow, when we have sunk real deep, its difficult to come to terms that one day it will be “alright”. Even though at the time you don’t admit it or even consider the possibility, from life experiences I can say that it is true. I bet if you were to recap your past, you can too! One day at a time takes us to “happy land”, eventually.

You Have A Gift, Release It!

May 9th, 2008 by disneysoundtrackswosv

Every person on this earth has a special gift. The gifts may not all be equal but they are all special. What is your gift?

It may be singing, acting or craftsmanship. Or you may have an eye for detail, allowing you to turn an ordinary pace into a wonderful haven, where people would want to spend their time.

It’s never too late to make a change and find a path that will allow you to be true to yourself. You just need to recognize your gift and take it out from where it is hidden.

The time has come for you to let your light shine and to do what you truly enjoy. Do it for yourself and for nobody else. But when you do, your light might just lighten up somebody else’s way.

Before I started my business I thought I had no special talent and that I therefore had nothing worthwhile to offer. I know that many of you are at that place right now. I want to encourage and tell you that you have something. What it is I don’t now, only you do. But I now this, it is something special.

Not sharing it with the world will be doing a great is service to yourself and to the entire world. Nothing is appreciated until it is released for all to see, hear and treasure.

Imagine a world without a Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Bill Gates or a Picasso. It’s almost like imagining a world without music or computers as we know them. By sharing their talent with us, these individuals have certainly made our world a better place.

There are others you can think of, who have appeared seemingly out of nowhere, and have redefined our worlds. They have changed the way we eat drink and relax, even the way we do business. But before they took that step to show us what they had, nobody had even an inkling as to what was coming.

What about you? Who knows how you could change our world. You could be the next big thing, but even if you don’t change the world like Bill Gates, you could still change our world, in a million ways. And ultimately that’s the most important part. Changing your world.

If you don’t do something about it, you’ll never know what you’re capable of. You’ll never know how it could have been. By taking that first step you’re making a declaration of your independence.

What caused me to take that first step? I was sick and tired of living for weekends. I was tired of working for a living, of always not having enough money. I got tired of getting up in the morning and going to work even if I didn’t feel it. I was tired of being told what to do and how to do it. I wanted my freedom and independence.

I realized that there are so may people all over the world who need someone to tell them that they can achieve their dreams, just as I needed someone to tell me that.

I knew that when I made it I would inspire so many others who thought they couldn’t make it. When you make your dreams come true it may be only for yourself, but there are hundreds and maybe thousands who’ll be inspired. Especially in your own community.

They’ll say if so and so could do it, I can do it too. People are not as much influenced by people from afar as they are by those close to them. Your success becomes their success.

So go out there and follow your dreams. Don’t be afraid to become the first in your community. Take it little by little, day by day, step by step. As you accomplish the one step the next step will come into view, and will be that much more manageable.

MP3 Players: How It All Began

May 9th, 2008 by disneysoundtrackswosv

You have probably seen some old movies where some unruly teenager carried on his shoulders one the first “portable” audio players-a blaring cassette-tape-playing two-speaker monster (if you’re old enough, you may even have done this yourself). What can the desire of people to take their music with them do!

But the first truly portable audio player was the cassette-tape based Sony Walkman. That was extremely revolutionary in its time. This small plastic box (well, today it doesn’t seem to be very small any longer) with earphones brought on the dawn of the portable audio player and sparked a legion of imitators. The subsequent introduction of audio CDs and CD-based walkmans marked the start of the digital music age.

A relatively recent revolution in this area was the introduction of Apple’s portable music player, the iPod. Although portable mp3 players existed before it (the first mass market mp3 player, the Rio PMP300, was introduced in 1998), the iPod’s unique design, its user-friendliness, and Apple’s very good reputation for its sense of aesthetics created immense interest in the product. Soon iPod was catapulted to its current ubiquity. More than 7 out of 10 mp3 player owners today have an iPod.

Portable mp3 players today are a must-have in the “everyone-else-has-them-so-I-should-have-one-too” sense. Although they are indeed undoubtedly very handy. Especially among the younger half of the population, jumping aboard the portable music bandwagon is a way of staying cool and keeping up with the times.

MP3 format has been chosen as the most widespread. Songs of that format can be supported not only by iPods but by the majority of devices. You can enjoy MP3 music while walking, driving, cooking, or listening to your dull lectures.

The primary source of music in mp3 players today is still audio CDs, as it is now very easy to create mp3s from them (using Total Audio Converter’s rip CD option). The widespread availability of internet access, with the ability to download plenty of music (legally and illegally) is also a crucial factor in the spread of portable music players. Though there is the reverse of the medal. The songs in the web are of dozens different audio formats. What to do with some FLAC or APE song?

The solution is quite simple. Get some audio encoding/decoding tool to convert your songs to your favorite mp3. For example, Total Audio Converter (http://www.CoolUtils.com) is a brainlessly simple tool that supports almost all audio formats. No matter what source format your track is, Total Audio Converter will easily convert it to the format you need. What is important TAC was developed to be handy and suites any digital music newbie.

Today, 1 in 5 Americans, and about 11 out of 20 American teenagers, own at least one portable audio. More than 1 out of 10 older adults (aged 35-54) own an mp3 player as well. (Interestingly, two-thirds of mp3 player owners are male - girls, where are you?) From these stats alone, it’s easy to see that portable music players are definitely here to stay. And that is GREAT
